Not rustproof!

I like to have this type of equipment on hand for occasional jobs where I need it. First, they are NOT stainless steel. 304 stainless steel is non-magnetic and optically silver in colour, very similar to the product photos. The hooks I received have a bluish green tint typical of cheaper zinc plated fasteners and the magnets stick to them easily confirming that they are not stainless steel. Zinc hooks are suitable for light duty applications and offer moderate corrosion resistance. The seller included a set of anchors so they can be fixed in both drywall and wood. When installing, remember that they can only withstand the maximum load if they are screwed into the wood. When installed in drywall they don't support as much weight, and when you apply a load from the side (sideways) they support even less. The dimensions in the listing are pretty accurate but don't tell the whole story. Shank diameter 4.1mm (11/64), thread length 29mm (1.15"), maximum embedment depth 46mm (1.8"). You will need to pre-drill a 5/32" hole 1" deep when installing into the studs. I took off a few stars for being presented (and priced) as stainless steel and not much cheaper zinc hardware. . They keep 3 stars as they are still quite usable.
