These end caps allow for finishing touches in pocket openings. I used them to fill a one and a half inch screw hole. They worked fine but I didn't use them for the larger screw hole.

Kreg P-PIN Pine plugs for pockets, mostly too small for normal pocket openings. I use a Kreg Jig K4 Pocket Hole System and these plugs will not work with the 3/4 bit that comes with the system as the plugs can hang loose in the holes.

What can I say. Any carpenter will tell you that these things are life changing. I've been a woodworker for 20 years now and I feel pocket screws have had a bigger impact on humanity than penicillin or the internet. Screws can bring world peace and heal poverty.

Kreg make great products. I chose the Kreg brand because of their reputation for quality, although they are slightly more expensive because of their reputation. I'm glad I had to fill in about 30 pocket screw holes on the game table and chairs and I built it for them. Apply some wood glue, press/squeeze the wood dowel, let it dry, sand lightly and you have a nice, smooth end product - paint or stain and you're done.

Maybe it's just me, but I remember they were longer in the past. I remember having to go back and trim off their ends so they were flush with the surface of the wood. The ones I got this time will actually sink if you're not careful. They were also larger in diameter and I sometimes had to struggle to get them in the hole. The ones I got this time fit perfectly! Overall I think these are improvements over the old ones.

They are good. I only use them for paint jobs so I usually put some glue on them, stick them in, then come back later and fill in any gaps with putty or putty before painting. This is very handy because they already have the right taper to sit flush with the wood surface. This is a great way to make your bag projects look more professional. Just don't expect them to match perfectly when trying to stain your project because of the different wood textures.
