Strong and durable: beam clips and hangers

I bought this particular rod holder because the metal seemed pretty thick and none of the others I'd seen in the ads had a reinforcement pleat running through the middle .

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Nothing

This is amazing, must buy 2

Looks cheap but this metal is strong. I weigh 185 and put it on concrete to flex, after jumping and standing on it I still haven't flexed while hopping. It will definitely work for entry and garage doors.

Pros
  • Delivery was very fast
Cons
  • Obsolete model

Robust part for industrial plants

Pretty robust. Wanted cheap extra insurance for our back door in the basement and I think it worked. Fair price too. For reference, I used 3" #14 screws. Pre-drilling requires a 1/8" drill bit.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Functionality

Great value for money, works great

I bought these to use on the large double doors in my shed. I looked at others for twice the price and settled on this one. Was pleasantly surprised, good quality metal. They are strong, sturdy and the standard 2x4 size fits perfectly.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Some flaws

Ideal for the inside of the door to our tornado shelter.

I bought these to install in our Tornado shelter so I didn't have to drill a hole in the steel door for a latch. Since they have not been Tornado tested I can only speculate as to their durability. However, I will take the risk and say they are perfect for what I need.

Great for using a 2 x 4 to close a large door

They are great for use with a standard 2 x 4 to latch a door from the inside. Way better than any bar you could find. I have a 10ft opening with 2.5ft doors. I used 4 of these side by side in a row at the top and 4 in a row at the bottom with 2 standard 8ft 2 x 4's to keep the doors closed and aligned so they don't warp. I gave them 4* because I felt the 3 hole attachment area should have been longer as the surface area isn't that large compared to the 2 x 4 arm you insert into.

Pros
  • Enjoy
Cons
  • No power

cheap extra security

strong and cheap. There is no better way to improve the security of your doors that may not be used that often. I installed this on the back door of the garage which I only really use when we host people on our patio. I don't remember if they came with screws, but I would suggest drilling some pilot holes and using some screws. If anyone wants to break down that door, they're going to have to use a battering ram and make a hell of a racket. By then they must have regretted their decision to…

Improved my security

Improved your security Jul 14, 2014 By SteveVerified Purchase (What's this? ) After a recent home invasion I decided to improve my security in every way possible. I live in a very upscale neighborhood in Henderson, Nevada. My front door was kicked in while I was home and armed. I saw that the hinges were the weakest piece of hardware on the door. My contractor informed me that the garage's back door was the second most attacked object after the patio's sliding glass doors. We examined the door…
