Yes, it's an expensive flashlight. When your job or life depends on being able to see at night, you can trust Streamlight. A word of caution, if the battery dies the flashlight will turn itself off. Maintain the equipment properly and there will be no problems. Comes with extra battery and car charging system (DC). With two batteries and a smaller Streamlight for locating vehicles, I didn't need a car charger system (it's good to know I have it in my gear bag). Stinger is well suited for lighting yards, warehouses, streets and other large spaces. Stinger is too much for cleaning the house, it stuns when a person is directly hit by light.
