This is a therapeutic toothpaste. I use it as toothpaste and massage my gums with it. After brushing my teeth, I apply a small amount of this toothpaste to my finger and gently massage the gums in a circular motion, then rinse. This toothpaste is very gentle on my teeth and gums. I've been using this brand for over a year and my gingivitis has really improved. My gums have changed from red to a healthy pink. I think it's because of that tea tree oil toothpaste. Teeth like regular toothpaste and I like the clean fresh taste. One more thing. My teeth look whiter but that might be because I also add some baking soda to my brush with this as the combination naturally whitens my teeth with no side effects. I will continue to buy this toothpaste over and over again due to the improvement in the condition of my teeth after using it. I highly recommend this toothpaste.
