I met Soothies when my son was in intensive care. My son has been suffering from severe reflux and colic for over 8 months. Without her, he literally wouldn't be able to sleep. After using these pacifiers, all the other nipples got worse for one reason or another. My daughter loves them as much as my son, although she is not as dependent on them as he is with all his premature problems. He is jealous of the bear-eared ones and likes to take them for himself. He tries them out and then hands them back to the kid when he realizes what I've noticed. I love all soothies, but these are especially cute. For my daughter, however, this was not a deterrent. They are easy to clean and disinfect. It's fun to see their little mouths suck, the kind that other types of pacifiers block. And laying on the whole finger can help reassure kids when they first pick it up when they're particularly upset. It was an absolute salvation.
