These covers are great but depending on the type and size of 5 gallon pail you are using they may not fit. This is my suggestion for you. Take these shin guards to a major hardware store and try them out in the many different buckets they carry until you find one that allows the shin guard to hit the ground. Also ensure that there is little or no clearance between the sidewall of the bucket and the guard. If you buy a bucket that's too "loose" or too big for the keeper, they'll float on top of your laundry or dishwashing bucket, defeating the purpose of the purchase from the start.
