The cable won't connect to my iPhone 12

I don't know how to rate this item as I'm not sure if something is missing. With the cable I received, I was unable to connect to my iPhone 12 from either the charger's USB or my computer's or car's USB. I contacted Revain and they kindly sent me a replacement. However, the same thing happened as with the first. The specs say this item is compatible with the iPhone 12 and on the other hand my phone is a perfect match for a couple of other Lightning USB cables I have. In summary, I don't know if I need to re-order a replacement or if the item is simply unusable.
