Bought as a gift. The battery compartment is difficult to remove and install, and the removed piece of plastic feels brittle and looks like it will break in half during the process. They are much smaller than the promotional photos of the children holding them. In general, they resemble a toy rather than a functional walkie-talkie. I hope they work better than they look, but I'm a little embarrassed to give them away now.
