Very very happy! in DVI-HDMI adapters

I bought a Dell Optiplex 5070 as a new media server for my home cinema. I have terabytes of data, all my music, everything. Since I bought a Gen 9 i7, I didn't pay enough attention to the computer's specs. I knew the Intel 630 HD graphics could render 4K. I knew DisplayPort could be converted to HDMI (I did it at 1080p) and they might support 4K in one form or another. I thought USB-C might be useful. But in many ways, like many others, I just didn't understand the new problems. I knew 4K 60Hz was desirable. I didn't understand the color issues or update limitations. Well, the two DisplayPort connectors are only version 1.2, not 1.4. There could have been an optional HDMI 2.0b connection, but I didn't buy it. The single USB-C port on the front doesn't support alternate mode, so it's useless for video. As a home theater PC on a Samsung 4k curved TV, this was a real disappointment. I've tried several DisplayPort to HDMI adapters (sorry Revain for all the setbacks). First passive. The faded color on the passives was terrible, as were the long screen transitions and blinking when content resolution jumped (e.g. when launching Netflix). I then added a USB-C PCIe adapter with the correct power connector and then found that they can't work in alternate mode. for video or without a DisplayPort connection (back to the original issue). I then tried it with active adapters, but still only got 30 Hz. on the motherboard). Dell's favorite word seems to be "no". Anyway, I came across this adapter. I was very skeptical based on some reviews. First, one or two mention the poor build quality. From my experience with several, I can say firsthand that it's the same or even better. The first thing that struck me was the bright color. It's amazingly bright. I didn't know this TV could look this good but I still only got 30Hz. Then today I thought to go into the Intel 630 HD settings and set the resolution to 4K @ 60Hz and boom . Here it is. So this adapter saved the day. It works in SDR and not HDR due to the DisplayPort version, but the picture is amazing. I'll have fun with it.
