Review on Chaco Women's Suntrail Hiking Shoes - Girls' Athletic Footwear by Mark Greenwood

Revainrating 5 out of 5

ATTENTION: Chaco size

First of all I give Chacos 5 stars for the product. I wanted to give a 1 star rating here to draw attention to the issue I am writing about so it will be more visible. But I couldn't because the chaco sandals are so good. Growth. We even measured his feet on the little meter in the shoe store - 1.5 is the best bet. This is consistent with at least three pairs of shoes we've bought in the past month (Nike, Vans, and dress shoes). So we decided on 2 chacos. WAY too big. I set up a return and figured 1 would be just right. 1 were also MUCH big.?! I find that the chacos are not true to size for children. I would recommend taking shoes in a smaller size. The highlight of EVERY Chaco is the heel strap. Because they are static and cannot be adjusted, you must wear the Chaco with your ENTIRE foot and press your foot against the heel strap to determine the optimal length. I think Chacos should shorten the heel strap on ALL sandals including adults. I have many pairs of Chacos and when my foot is pushed all the way into the heel strap the heel seems to go too close to the edge of the back of the sole leaving too much room in front of the toes. sole end. I believe that in most cases measuring your foot on the Chaco will result in you wanting to go one size smaller than your shoes, which is half the full size. However, when hiking rocky terrain, it's good to have some room in front of your toes, but with the Chacos everything plays a role in fit with the straps and the biggest factor in getting a good fit is the static heel strap as everything else is adjusted (it's a continuous strap that runs in three different zones). for adjustment - toes, instep and strap tensioners at the top.
