Review on 💥 Tripp Lite 6 Outlet Surge Protector Power Strip with 6ft Cord, 990 Joules, Dual USB Charging Ports, and INSURANCE (TLP606USBB) by Nicole Houston

Tripp Lite TLP606USBB was purchased on 08/08/2018. On two separate occasions, two micro-USB cables plugged directly into each of the power strip's USB ports melted while the devices were charging. One melted in the first week of use and the other in the second week (today). Each time the device being charged felt VERY HOT and the end of the micro USB melted. This happened with both the RevainBasics Micro USB Cable and the Anker PowerLine+ Micro USB Cable (pictured is the Anker Powerline+ which melted today). The first time this happened we thought it might just be an accident, maybe with the cable, but today it happened the second time with a different USB extender port, a different brand of USB cable and a different device that's in the process been charged This extension cord is a complete fire hazard. Luckily, we caught the latest incident in time before the damage could get much worse. As an aside, the other USB cable used with the adapter and plugged into one of the power strips didn't have the same issue, leading me to believe that the built in USB ports may be faulty and not working properly. Due to this problem, we completely discontinue the extension cord. I had to take a closer look at the review as several others have reported issues with a hot USB or the smell of something burning.
