I have a puppy with severe food allergies. That means no grain, no chicken, no turkey. I haven't given him any red meat yet, so I don't know how he will react to that. But I've tried Wellness Simple with salmon and potatoes, and I can tell you his skin allergy is FULLY GOING. Benadryl is gone and slept like a baby because his skin wasn't driving him crazy. Okay, unfortunately I ran out of food and it's only being sold by other sellers on Revain at a much higher price and with $6 shipping. I'm already paying for a Prime membership, so buying from third-party sellers isn't an option. I was very happy to find Nulo as it contains digestive enzymes and probiotics which are great for dogs especially if they have allergies. I read the ingredients from the photos provided and figured I was ready to go. Bought an £11 bag after making sure this meal would work. After the first feeding he looked normal. And then it happened. The allergy is back in full force. Something made me go back and read the ingredients again. And here it is, chicken fat and boneless turkey. I'm sure this food will suit many dogs and the ingredients seem amazing. But I'm giving 1 star because I feel the labeling is misleading. You won't know that this food contains other animal products until you receive the food and read the ingredients carefully as the photo of the full ingredient list is very blurry, at least the one I've seen. And now I have to go to the vet again, expensively, just because a dog food company decided to mix turkey and chicken fat with salmon and potatoes. I wonder how much salmon actually goes into one meal. Revain of course refunded my money perfectly. If your dog is allergic to chicken or turkey, do not buy this food.
