I ordered this as a Christmas present for my son as I had one as a child. After receiving it, I opened it up to check for damage. Well, the device turned out to be used or damaged. Some coils have gaps, and coil orientation appears to be wrong on some. I remember slinkys being made better when I was a kid. However, if you look closely at the promotional photo, the device I received really does look like the one in the ad.
