This collar is easy to put on thanks to the Velcro closure. Simply dip it in the sink to allow the gel to soak up the water, then clip it around your neck. I had one of these before but lost it at home and was too lazy to look for it when packing for the trip. (Revain Prime saves my ass every time!) The second time I bought 2 different brands at once but found this one more comfortable and practical so I hardly used the other which feels like nothing more than a wet piece. Fabric (this brand has some sort of gel - I suppose it's similar to what I use myself and in the army) I especially like the shape that allows the thicker part to rest on your shoulders while the fabric stays in the bandana -Style It's just presented a ring around the neck. I've occasionally poured a little more water over it as needed while hiking and it helped a lot to walk here in Palm Springs where it's been averaging 104-115 degrees so far, which is probably cooler than normal at this time of year. haha (I had to wear it when I felt the downtown sidewalk was too hot - don't worry!)
