Review on πŸ–€ Black Keyboard Gel Wrist Pad - Belkin F8E263-BLK WaveRest by Damon Atonyo

What happened to this product? It used to be good!

I've had one of these pads for years but it has worn down over time and the worn spot just below my optical mouse has become a problem. So I decided it was time for a new gel mouse pad and I was thrilled to see that the exact same mouse pad was still available. Same company and all. Except this carpet doesn't look anything like my old one. The carrier is clearly not a gel; It's wrinkled, hard, and uncomfortable on my wrist - and only for a few short minutes of using it. In short, I am deeply dissatisfied. I wish I had seen other one star reviews before hitting the buy button on this item because then I would have been warned that the product had changed. I am seriously considering returning this as it is not as advertised and is not the product I expected to receive. Smallpox on Belkin for hanging their name on this crappy product when the previous model was all it took. Quick update: I checked the packaging again and the packaging still clearly states that it is a gel mat. But when I compared it to my old (good) gasket, I noticed another important difference: the BELKIN lettering at the top of the new gasket is slightly larger and doesn't appear within the oval outline. I wonder if I and other One Star owners have been spoofed using Belkin packaging - perhaps the good reviews that are still coming in are from people who bought the right product. I am still considering a return and would advise anyone to stay away from it until it is clear there is no longer a chance of getting the junk version I got.
