The price was right and I needed something more or less decent for the corner next to my sofa. I'm happy with that. Very easy to assemble and strong enough to hold a couple of books, a small lamp, various everyday clutter and to keep a Wi-Fi modem (on the bottom shelf) out of the way. I wouldn't put undue force on it - wouldn't use it to lift myself up or anything - but it won't deflate in high winds. He's pretty small. I know the measurements are given but I don't usually have a tape measure handy and I'm bad at guessing so for comparison the countertop is about the size of an old fashioned magazine (People, US Weekly etc.) - slightly larger but not a lot of .
