A lot of people have given this product bad reviews or said they don't recommend it, but I found it met my needs very well. I bought this for my bunny (he's about 3-4lbs now) when he was young and it still fits into a 19" with plenty of room. I was wondering if this would withstand a 10 lb pup for a car ride. brought home from the breeder, about 15 kilos put in and carried, contents shaken, that was all. The kennel stayed strong and I don't think it will open with the weight. Stood on the floor which gave me a fright but once I strapped on and carried the harness (no pet of course but with some weight) ok the locks for the door can be a bit confusing at first but it's actually quite simple. If your kennel is falling apart, it probably wasn't assembled properly. Great product for the money I paid (however, as far as I know, the price has gone up dramatically since I bought this product.)
