Recommended. I've only used them 10 times so far but no problems to report. Easy to use. He's keeping up with me. The strap may be a little uncomfortable after wearing it for a few hours. You can use a disposable or washable forehead bandage. I haven't seen any headlights with this feature, so it's not at a disadvantage in that regard. I use a rag, then everything is ok. If the flashlight had a little more adjustment range that would be good, not that it's bad, just maybe it could be a little bit better in that small way. For a Chinese production it really doesn't show any signs of breakage and that's really positive. I think most would be happy with this simple quality light. jay
