Purchased for teaching via Zoom and filming lectures. I used it right out of the bag, without ironing, steaming, etc. and it worked perfectly. The thickness of the fabric is enough to block the light from a lamp behind it - but it is not as thick as a more formal photography backdrop. I think it's a good balance. I put the backdrop a few feet behind me and it is lit by a mix of window light and a ceiling light. I thought I'd have to use a couple LED panels to even things out, but it wasn't necessary. In the front, I use a ring light.
