After playing around with most ear cups I settled on the medium rubber cups and they sounded great. I've found that you shouldn't push the earbuds all the way onto the case, as in this case the plastic case presses against the ear and becomes uncomfortable after an hour. Create a small gap between the earmold and the body, gently press the earphone until a seal is formed, and you can listen for several hours. This was my first pair of new style Shure headphones but after a bit of tweaking I'm happy with the pair.
