These are decent tap shoes. They are needed for the dance where I was told we must wear brown heels. They fit well and work well as tap shoes. However, they smell very strongly of toxic chemicals, although they wear out after 2 or 3 weeks. I've had them outside and in my hallway for about a week and now I've had them for a couple of weeks. The smell has dissipated a bit but is still there. On the plus side, my car smells cleaner since I keep my slippers in it! So yes. Not a big deal, you just want them to be ventilated and maybe make sure you wear socks. ;)
