These sweatpants are perfect for the intermediate level minor training . They don't contain a plastic layer so aren't waterproof, but they're nice and soft so they can withstand minor accidents without leaking. We used them a lot in the first few weeks after potty training when my daughter sometimes forgot to go potty on time. She walked a little in her underwear, but she was able to stop and run to the potty. This underwear absorbs those small leaks and reduces underwear stress as I only have to change her underwear, not her pants. They also seem very comfortable. My daughter loves them and although she is now fully potty trained she still wears them most days to kindergarten for a little extra 'accident insurance'. As for the sizes, I'd say they're pretty much true to size. I bought the size 3T for my 3 year old daughter (who is smaller) and they fit her well with some room to grow. The quality is great too, I've washed them a lot over the last few months but so far they've held up well. We have received prints that differ from those shown in the image. I was prepared for this as the product description states the colors as "assorted" but I would really like to be able to choose a specific color - I would order a second set but don't want to risk taking the same ones. So please note that there is no guarantee that you will receive the colors and designs shown on the product image.
