The poor design of the Surface Pro charger makes up for it
The MicroSoft charger is poorly designed. You cannot replace the cable connecting cable from the charger to the Surface Pro, you must replace the entire charger. This device has a detachable cable. If it breaks, a replacement cable is only $10 versus $70+ for a Microsoft factory charger. I travel a lot. Walk 2 cables a year. That's a savings of $120.
