This is a small charger that fits perfectly in my backpack. The cord isn't too long - it's the only thing I would change - but it's perfect for a spare or extra charger.

After I bought the first one and it stopped working, I bought another one, thinking it was an accident. but no. this one is bad too. Now I'm looking for another company. I really wish Microsoft would move away from this proprietary cable. but companies need to do better.

Product as described. I just got it but it looks good and works great. I needed an extra charger for my Surface Pro 6. This is especially useful when I'm on the go because of the USB port. I can charge my Surface Pro and iPhone at the same time.

Had to return a few other 3rd party chargers because they just didn't work. This works out of the box. The pins don't work, but the "brick" doesn't look like a space pig - besides that, you can plug other things into a regular power strip or a duplex outlet. Comes with a handy holdall to keep everything together.

The MicroSoft charger is poorly designed. You cannot replace the cable connecting cable from the charger to the Surface Pro, you must replace the entire charger. This device has a detachable cable. If it breaks, a replacement cable is only $10 versus $70+ for a Microsoft factory charger. I travel a lot. Walk 2 cables a year. That's a savings of $120.

The best part is that the cable is detachable from the charger. This helps prevent wear on the wire at the connection point, as opposed to a non-removable one. You are also dealing with only 1 cable instead of 2 like an OEM charger. It comes with a nice case for charging the charger and cables. My OEM charger stopped charging so I bought a second one for the house. Have been using this charger for a few weeks now. This is how the travel charger works great. It's smaller than the standard Microsoft charger and charges as intended. However, if you try to use the Surface Pen and this charger at the same time, the palm rejection stops working. This product works great on my Surface 3 Pro. The plug fits snugly and the magnet makes for a strong "connection". I also like that the cable from the power supply to the Surface can be swapped out. My last two chargers broke when connected to the Surface. The wire tends to pull too hard on the connector. If you lose connection, all you have to do with this charger is replace the $10 cord instead of the $30 AC adapter (I bought an extra cord as a spare to have on hand just in case). My only…

Update (June 18, 2020): Changed rating to two stars and added image of broken 110v plug. Do it with two broken plugs. That's what happens when you trip over a cable a few times. So instead of pulling (or shorting) the cable away from the magnetic connector on the surface, it rips the bottom out of the charger. But I can understand why. The way I plugged it in pulls the top out of the way if I trip over the cord. I could wrap the cord around a chair leg, or maybe an extension cord would help…
