I don't know that cover for tear protection is left and top. As a result, the check's double coverage does not fully cover the top left side tear-off checks, leaving limited space to state the check amount. As other reviewers have pointed out, inserting the cardboard back of a check into the slot is very difficult and registration is almost impossible. And while it's hard to believe, there's no such thing as a vinyl divider. You have to scroll through the registry each time to find the current page. Not wanting the resulting deterioration, I immediately threw it in the bin.
