Review on 🌈 32.8ft RGB SMD5050 300 LEDs WiFi Wireless Music Sync Smart Light Strip - Color Changing for Bedroom, Alexa and Google Home Compatible by Ricky Cruise

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Worked both on its own and through some work, WiFi

Worked well with IR remote. Like medium brightness. not too bright, but not too dark either. The connectors connecting the controller to the strip are not very secure. I would say the price matches the quality. I scanned the QR code on the controller with my iPhone. Downloaded the app. This connected me to the LED strip's Wi-Fi, very similar to the Revain Echo setup. I found my WiFi and entered my password. I use a special IOT Wi-Fi SSID to separate all IOT stuff on my network. Who knows what they will do on my network without my knowledge. The light turned green, so I think it successfully connected to the network. The router shows a DHCP lease for the LEDs. I was connected to the same network with my iPhone and couldn't find the light. He wanted me to go through the installation process again. But I've already done it. I'm not sure what the next step is. There is no obvious way to get the light back into setup mode. And the application did not add / find any light on the network. problem found. Wi-Fi has been set to guest network/isolation mode. This prevents the devices from talking to each other. I turned it off and the app found my lights! The application is fine. I wouldn't call it great. There seem to be some bugs, but they also seem to be quite popular. I haven't tried/tested cloud stuff; I really don't trust my data to random companies. He even showed my wifi password in plain text when he couldn't find the light, so he keeps it somewhere. ek! Looks like there will be a lot of extra features if I activate a cloud account. I haven't seen a way to update the flashlight firmware. I am concerned that it is important to update Wi-Fi firmware when Wi-Fi vulnerabilities are discovered. Don't know if that happens automatically or not. Or even if the manufacturer ever updates the security questions. Firmware details can be found in the device settings, at least that's what it says.
