Review on Acer XV282K KVbmiipruzx: The Ultimate 4K FreeSync Backlit Monitor with Agile Splendor by Christopher Reese

Revainrating 4 out of 5

It's ok, not perfect, but ok

The resolution is superb in the best resolution version. The colors are quite bright. The 144Hz refresh rate is great. Minimalist, beautiful. My problem with this is that during use my monitor randomly goes blank in the middle of an intense Cold War battle, black screen, noise intermittent as well. Sometimes the sound just disappears but my graphics remain. Usually lasts a few (about 5-10) seconds. But sometimes it takes about 30 seconds and it's quite annoying. It could be my computer or the settings I use, but it seems to be more with gaming, still (more) rarely with web surfing and other light (more) tasks, but not as often. Nice monitor but could be better especially for the price. It's a pretty fair deal, but I'd spend a little more on a different monitor if you have the money. Again, it could be my computer or monitor itself, but why take the risk? I'll play around with the settings a bit and see if that fixes the problem, but I'm skeptical of a settings solution. I will keep you informed. Until then, it should be put off until later if you're looking for a more budget-friendly option, but beware, it COULD be a monitor or my computer, time will tell.
