Review on myheatmap by Ian Bates

I like that it saves me time to make an easy map comparing sales for different customers or products by region, so i can quickly see how they are doing compared to other regions/products. It also allows you do compare data from multiple years which is great! There could be more ways of visualizing this information but what we have works very well!! You will need some experience using Python before jumping into making maps yourself as there's quite alot going here behind-the scenes (which makes sense since its open source). If your looking at analyzing past performance versus current then this tool helps tremendously because you don't risk getting skewed results if things change over night - even though thats not often haha. We use MyHeatMap primarily during quarterly analysis meetings where our management looks through each department's numbers sidebyside using color coded charts showing them their strengths & weaknesses relative to one another.
