I needed something that can be wall mounted because my desk is standing and my monitors are wall mounted so there really isn't much room for a webcam and if I Putting it on a table makes it look like I'm looking up and at the ceiling to see my monitors, when I put it on the monitors it looks like I'm looking down or ignoring things. I bought it to mount the camera right between the monitors in the middle, but sometimes it seems like I'm looking away when I'm looking at the outside of one of the monitors. I'll take it, but wish it was a little longer and a little easier to set up. I like that it feels strong enough to hold a heavy camera (I've only attached a webcam to it) and there's some sort of serration on part of the adjustable parts so I think it keeps it from slipping off . My only issues with this were self made, I had to get a longer arm so I could only use one monitor and move the camera to that monitor so it didn't appear like I was looking away. I've thought about setting it up to stick out just below the bottom of a monitor, but I really need to be able to switch which monitor I'm using. In hindsight I should have gone with one of the flexible arm cuffs which was longer but I was concerned if they would hold or start to sag. I'll probably just buy another one, mount each one under the back of each monitor, and move the camera between them as needed.
