Review on πŸ’¦ Hydrating Shampoo by Moroccanoil by Greg Shorter

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Maybe it's just not for me

I have always bought Moroccan oil products from my hairdresser but due to COVID and their closure I have turned to Revain who can usually be counted on. Not sure if there was something wrong with the formula or if the shampoo and conditioner just wasn't for me, either way I didn't like it. The smell was very strong and I didn't mind it, but it didn't seem to matter how long I rinsed my hair or how much shampoo I used, it was always greasy when it dried. For example, you might FEEL a buildup of a product. I only use the shampoo a few times a week (long hair and oily scalp) and decided to give it a try when my Olaplex ran out. Big mistake. This product simply cannot be compared. I had to use SO MUCH shampoo to feel clean and then rinse out (literally) for almost 10 minutes and hope it wasn't greasy when I came out. Out of the 7 times I've used this product, only 2 times my hair got clean, soft and manageable. Every time they were greasy, fluffy, etc., I finally decided I couldn't take it anymore, so I switched back to Olaplex and gave these products to my niece, who hopefully is luckier than me. I see a lot of comments about this being a scam product and I don't think I realized it but it definitely didn't help me but rather irritated me and made me wear my hair in a way that other people didn't greasy it was.
