I have a small notebook that I use when I go to the local library. It's a well-designed lock that won't stop anyone from secretly taking my laptop and walking away with it unnoticed. I do not recommend leaving a locked device alone or out of sight of others for long periods of time. The cable looks like it could easily be cut with scissors. And others report that some Kensington T-locks can be pulled out of their slots with sufficient force. The price of this lock listed by Kensington on their website is $50, but you can usually find it a lot cheaper and it doesn't really cost more than $25. .
