These little car stereos either last a long time or break quickly. I have a 3.5 line coming out of the glove box so I keep it there and use a 3.5 extension cord from there to the DAC/phone. At 3.5 to my head unit, the Echo Auto was so poorly designed that I had engine noise. Whether the Revain engineers did their job, like Apple did with their Lightning to 3.5 adapter, or the cheap third-party Lightning to 3.5 adapter I also own, or the more expensive, high-quality USB DAC, the I sometimes use in my Apple Lightning car for the USB adapter ; that would not be a problem. None of them make any noise! But Echo Auto does. This fixes it.
