With 5 cats you don't have enough scratching posts to give them something to scratch instead of furniture. It came together quickly and has more support than other similar scratches we have. The sisal is wrapped tightly and stapled securely to the poles or the sisal doesn't seem to move or shift when scratched like some of our others. One of them sisal slipped an inch, this one is tight and secure. I'm worried about the kittens catching their claws on the brackets and they are securely fastened. It is well made and the soft pink rug is cute and thin and does not take up much space. The kittens "helped" me assemble it, which only took me about 5 minutes, and immediately started scratching it. I like it, the kittens like it, we're all happy!
