Review on Universal 24V 40VA Thermostat / Doorbell Transformer: Compatible with Honeywell, Nest, Sensi, Ecobee, Nest Hello, and Ring Doorbells by John Patel

I had purchased this product to replace one that I bought at a big box store to power my Ring Doorbell Pro. Technically the one from the store worked fine with the Ring, but it emitted a loud buzzing electrical sound from it that kept me up at night (our transformer is located in our closet). This one is silent, and as you can see from the picture it is way beefier and heavier than the old one, lending me confidence in it’s construction and quality. In case if you were wondering, it has the 3-wire hookup, and a mounting nut to fasten it to a junction box hole. Also included in the package were 3 wire nuts and mounting screws if you are mounting it via the bracket feet.
