This remote/key is my happiest purchase I can remember

This remote/key is my happiest purchase I can remember! Dealers charge over $200 for a new key. It didn't cost me a tenth of that! My original key (I only had one when I bought my used car) broke on top so I carefully fitted the pieces together to start the car. I bought it and it arrived very quickly, although the delivery was not urgent. When it arrived it was clean and looked just like my old remote. Inside was a warranty card and programming instructions. I took the key and the original to a local hardware store to be cut. They took about 10 minutes and charged $25 for the cutting. After that I tried to program the key using the instructions I found on the internet. After that didn't work, I used the instructions that came with the remote and programmed it in a minute or two. With my car you just have to start the car with the original key, turn it off and start it with the new key. I tested all the buttons on the remote and they all worked very well. Ultimately, my total investment was less than a quarter of what it would have cost me at a dealership. The instructions that came with it were also very helpful. If only I had read them first. My car is a 2012 Buick Regal CXL Turbo.
