Review on Enhance Your Water Quality with CULLIGAN US DC3 Connect Premium Filtration by Chad Rosier

Water tastes better + EASY to install!

This Culligan filter does exactly what I've come to expect from the Culligan: it greatly improves the taste of my city water, which comes from surface lakes and needs deep cleaning. But many filters do (actually ALL should, but some don't). However, what sets it apart from the competition is its ease of installation and relatively small footprint under the sink. I serve in the military, so we moved quite a bit. I almost always install a water filter (with the exception of Alaska, where tap water was the best I've ever tried). Different filters are difficult to install to varying degrees. However, this Culligan is a clear winner. All you need to install is a drill, screwdriver, and wrench (you CAN do with pliers if you don't have a wrench, and you CAN drive machine screws into wood without pre-drilling, but I don't recommend any shortcuts). Installation takes about 15 minutes depending on your skill and experience with the tools required. Don't forget to attach the device to the back of the cabinet. It is important to support the filter to prevent the support weight from loosening the connections. It also simplifies filter changes. The filter doesn't take up much space under the sink, apart from the size of the filter cartridge itself, which is nice as space under our sink is usually at a premium. I also like that the filter lasts a year with normal use - I've never had a filter that recommended using it for more than 6 months and some 90 days. Remember that there is no filter change indicator, so you will need to keep track of the scheduled replacement date on your calendar. I just went ahead and set a reminder after a year to change the filter.
