It has no insulation and works mostly like a sauna suit. I'm not sure it's safe for a dog to be wrapped in a plastic bag. I understand dogs don't sweat like we do, but this jacket didn't feel safe to me. The system of putting a jacket on a dog is quite tricky when your dog refuses to cooperate at all. And since there's no insulation, our dog was happier, safer, and warmer in his usual sweater and jacket combo. It's also very expensive for what you actually get. Just bring a well-insulated jacket or sweater.
