Okay this isn't a professional head designed for heavy equipment so let's consider it a budget video head. I mean, this thing cost less than $40. The reviews I read were good, but I wasn't expecting much at this price (can't expect anything useful from a video head at this price, right?!). But I have to say I'm so glad I took the plunge and tried it. I don't shoot video professionally, but I'm starting to shoot as a hobby, so I was really up for something that could provide smooth pan and tilt for a small DSLR (I use a Canon 70D), mirrorless camera or camcorder . This GkGk head is almost entirely metal and feels solid. The arm isn't long but more than enough and I appreciate how compact the whole head is. Everything seems to be securely fastened. The levels are a bit small but work well. And above all, the pan and tilt functions are very fluid as a result. Really impressed. The only issue right now is a little noise (looks like it's smearing everything) when it's tilted, but that's a minor issue. I was planning on getting a Benro S2 head or an inexpensive Manfrotto head but I'm so glad I took the risk and bought the GkGk G06. Works great for my needs and the money I saved is enough for most of Sirui's new video monopods.
