Review on VIVOSUN 8 Inch Noise 🔇 Reduction Silencer for Inline Duct Fan by Jennifer Collins

I have a rackmount server in my apartment closet and I use a commercial fan to dissipate heat and cool the air. Unfortunately it was very loud. At full speed you'll hit 70-80dB, which I think is loud enough to annoy my neighbors. After installation I was able to reduce the noise level to 40-50dB at full tilt with a seemingly imperceptible drop in airflow (I don't have tools to measure airflow unfortunately). Were also the cheapest and were delivered. fast through prime in 2 days. Just remember that I have one for the inlet and the other for the outlet. I have found that most of the noise from my system is on the intake side. I also installed a 6" automotive cone filter at the end of the air intake. This reduces airflow slightly, but smoothes the air even more and helps keep the inside of the engine clean. Generally this is done to reduce impact noise and some airflow rumble. Although not mute. It's worth the price they charge.
