I've just had my first cup of coffee in this glass and here are my first impressions: First impressions of the quality are okay, but definitely fair for the price. The shape is visually appealing and elegant, especially due to the outer drinking rim, from which it is easier to drink. It kept my coffee hot noticeably longer than the thick, heavy mugs I've used before. For me this is an essential part of the enjoyment I get from this glass as I really love my coffee hot and hate when it gets cold and I have to reheat it in the microwave which changes the taste. the coffee "floats" in the double wall glass, and it's also easier to pour the perfect amount of half and half into my coffee since I can see the coffee's color change down to the bottom (especially since I only like a light hint of half and half. more than that and it gets too creamy for my liking). Although the coffee is hot, the base isn't, so it's nice not to need a coaster when setting your glass on a ready table. I don't mind if I don't have a traditional mug handle. The base is fairly narrow compared to the rest of the glass (which provides a nice shape) which can make it easier to tip, but I'll have to see how it holds up over time. I'd rather not have the "DeLonghi mark" stenciled in white on the underside, visible under the coffee hanging directly above, which kind of robs it of the elegance. I wish there was a photo of it so I could see before i buy it to help other buyers i will try to figure out how to upload a photo of it for everyone, as for me i wouldn't mind if the glass was a bit thinner, more delicate and less "chunky". , but others might like it. As it is it's there because it feels pretty strong (as far as glass goes.) Overall I like it and I'm moving on.When I go to the closet to get my coffee mug I guess I think it will quickly become my favorite mug As of March 2017 It has been over a year since I bought these glasses and I still enjoy them every weekend I use them to keep my coffee and tea hot, and now i use them to drinking milk, so how it keeps milk nice and cold. Tea looks particularly beautiful in these transparent glasses. I always wash them on the top rack of the dishwasher and they still look brand new. I've stopped using all of my other favorite coffee mugs that I've collected over the years and have only used these mugs since I've had them. I love using them. These are definitely my coffee mugs!
