Review on Authentic Replica Of The WWII Iconic B-17F Flying Fortress Memphis Belle Plane From COBI Historical Collection by Rudy Barron

Ok, if you have spare parts

This was missing multiple pieces. While it looks good, the plane cannot be assembled as directed. It requires assembling and disassembling to get parts to fit, and even then, not all of them will.Cobi doesn't provide part numbers so here is what I was missing based instruction numbers and descriptions: #23 2x10 plate, gray; #27 1x2 slope, gray; and #28 1x4 curved piece, grayOn instruction #32, the piece will not fit . On instruction 33, the 1x1 curved piece will not fit on the inside engines. It was poorly designed. The landing gear cannot be moved up or down without it falling out of the airplane. This is due to the gear being held on by a 4x4 block with no support, and the arm actually latching in place, so that when pulled or pushed, the block detaches from the plane. While turrets have clear windows, the cockpit is left open. While the bomb doors are designed to open, they are smooth and have no way to open them during play. Further, these are attached minimally and fall off when attempting to open. There is no way to load the bombs except to turn the plane upside down, remove the doors, insert the bombs, and reattach the doors.Any handling of the plane will cause the edge pieces to detach; they are assembled without support of any kind.In short, if you are going to assemble and look at it, this might work for you - if you can overlook missing pieces, and exposed studs where pieces won't fit. But if your child (or you) want to play with it in any way, this is not the product for you.
