I am very picky when it comes to children's clothing. I did a LOT of research before buying and bought Björn and Guava first. Shortly thereafter, I found a Lumiere travel cot on Google and bought it here. I like it very much and especially my child likes it. Let me share what I found during my research and experience with these travel cots. Please bear with me, I think this review is going to be very long, but I hope it saves you time in finding what you need for your lifestyle. .Nuna Sena: According to my research, the Nuna Sena is the most expensive crib on the market at $350. This is a Dutch brand. I didn't buy her crib because it's more of a package and play. It does not stand on the floor and is slightly heavier than other cribs. Good that the cradle for the newborn is included. This is great news because most travel cots are designed for babies aged 6 months to 3 years, not newborns. Unfortunately, they do not allow free returns. So if you're not sure if you really need Nuna Sena, I don't recommend buying it. Björn: $275-$299 at Revain Swedish brand Old Baby is known around the world. I think they came up with the concept of the portable crib. I liked the material they use; they are all OEKO-TEX non-toxic materials; Soft and safe for your baby. They also have some nice features (see below), but I ended up hating Bjorn because I'm relatively small (5ft 2in) and find it very difficult to pick up my daughter or put her down. A front zip might solve this problem (Lumiere and Guava have such a feature). I would give Bjorn's travel cot 3 stars as it doesn't have a front door and linens which are essential in my daily life. Pros: - Material OEKO-TEX (= non-toxic) - Several beautiful color options. .- Light. Cons: - Expensive, overpriced. - Sheet is not included. - No front zip. - Not suitable for hand luggage. Guava: $209 at Revain. US brand. This is a great product and I like it very much. It's easy to set up, but it's really a bit tricky to fold (in fact, you won't be able to pack it up as easily and quickly as you see in their tutorial video). Fits completely and snugly in a tote bag. I guess I just need to practice 20 times more. Double-sided carry bag is convenient. I find the Guava to be the most compact folded cot out there. The downside is they DO NOT include a bassinet. They sell the cradle but you have to buy their travel cot AND the cradle TOGETHER for $300. (The cradle is not sold separately). So if you wanted a cradle, like I did after you bought a crib, you're screwed. It's a bit of a shame for me as I also wanted a cradle. Usually the cradle can be used up to 1 year. Your fitted sheet is expensive and you have to buy it separately. I would give 4-4.5 stars for the above reasons. Pros: - Lightweight - Suitable for hand luggage - Bag for carrying in both directions. Cons: - Difficult to put it back in the carrying case. and expensive - No color options Lumiere: US brand. I am very happy that I bought it. This crib has many features that I love so I'll narrow them down to a few! 1. Large front zipper; This is a lifesaver for me as I can easily lay my baby down and hug him in the cradle instead of putting him on the bed. As you know, after you breastfeed the baby often wakes up and tries to put him to bed. 2. Leaves with elastic band; they are included. A fitted sheet is a must for me. They offer not 1 but 2 (all OEKO-TEX). That's great. We all need a few sheets to keep our beds clean. 3. Comfortable, breathable mattress; It helps regulate baby's temperature for better sleep. I think this is a nice feature and I haven't seen it on Bjorn and Guava. It's probably a minor thing, but I also like how it looks; it's modern and stylish. Finally, their 3-year warranty is a huge plus. I believe the standard warranty for baby gear is only 1 or 2 years. I can't think of any major flaws. The only downside I've found is that I think it counts as checked baggage at the airport and not "hand baggage" (not 100% sure, haven't tried it at the airport yet). For some people, this may be a required feature. Actually this is not a disadvantage for me as I don't fly often (usually I fly to my parents' house once a year). With a baby there is a lot to take away, so I prefer to look into bed. We took a short drive and the Lumiere crib worked great. It's lightweight, easy to carry and fits perfectly in our car. The most remarkable thing is the attractive price. It has so many things I wanted and needed. I'm sure I saved over $100. I look forward to seeing this brand grow! Pros: - OEKO-TEX fabrics - Wide front flap - 3 year guarantee - Breathable mattress - Bassinet included - Bedding included - Light weight Cons: - Not suitable for hand luggage - No color options. Conclusion: Björn, Guava and Lumiere are all easy to set up, durable, well made and of high quality. I don't recommend Nuna Sena just because I don't see the $350 value in it. Definitely overpriced. If you like famous brands, Bjorn might be your best choice. It's a global baby brand (I use their carrier, by the way). If you fly a lot with your toddler and prefer carry-on luggage, then Guava is the best choice. When I buy children's gear, it is important to me that it MUST be very easy to use, safe, durable and stylish. reasonable price. Lumiere met all my needs and exceeded all my expectations. I'm really impressed with the quality and some features that make my life easier. If you're looking for an all-inclusive crib that will save you time, money, and space at home, I recommend Lumiere.
