I used to be a stylist and we were always taught that Japanese scissors are the best quality. I paid over $350 for a pair of quality Japanese scissors. They appear to be of good quality and cut well. There is a green imitation stone locking screw on the side that allows me to tighten or loosen the scissors to my liking. They open and close gently, beautifully and sharply. The golden color also makes it stand out. The length is good and they feel good in the hand. They come in a quality box with a foam cutout and the scissors themselves are also in a plastic case. A polishing sample is also included. I don't know if they live up to the $350 pair I bought years ago, but for the money they're pretty good.
