I bought this used camera because my son broke the lens of an old casio soap box. It's still scary to buy a DSLR - the children still stumble. Such a new one, it cost about 10 thousand (not currently on sale), which, I think, is very expensive for a camera of this quality. With DSLRs, such as Canon 650d, it makes no sense to compare, but with soap dishes on a par, even a little better. An ordinary camera, quite suitable for the money, if you buy a used one.
