Built an upgrading swing for my growing son. I was searching for swing set chain, and stumbled upon these tree straps. I figured that for the cost of one 8.5 ft chain, I could buy these straps. Since they just need to wrap around the swing structure, it would save me the hassle and struggle of trying to drill precise holes through the 4x6 for the swing hardware. So, bought 3 sets. They work great, though a little finagling was needed to get the lengths even after wrapping. Not sure if it is just the length of the swing (9ft) or the fact that the strap is flat instead of 3d like a normal chain, but the swing seems to move more smoothly, and the straps stay taught even at the top of the swing(where chains would usually start to droop making a small free fall moment for the swingee).As long as these can survive being left up 24/7 and in the sun, I'll be very happy this this solution/purchase.
