As the seasons change, I add oils, moisturizers and the like to my foundation. Most mornings it took 5 minutes to mix foundation, rosehip or jojoba oil, hyaluronic acid, mattifying powder or whatever my skin needed. It was an annoying part of my routine and I couldn't fix it. Yes I could make something in a small jar but it has often gotten lost in my pocket or even opened up from being thrown around. Two pieces and you're done. Now I have one for summer (no added oil, instead powder and shade darker due to tanned skin) and one for winter (lighter shade with added oils and hyaluronic acid). pat your skin. The beauty blender works great too. I am very happy that there are additional assignments. Not a necessary part of the compact in my opinion, but if you want to make a few for easy swapping, an extra one will help. I don't know why people think it's a waste of a product. My goal is to just take the sponge off when it's "dry" and apply it to the skin and then fade it out. No more waste than a traditional makeup sponge. You can squeeze the sponge out until it's almost dry, so I don't think it will take much time. The included application pad is flimsy and flimsy, but they all are. Drop it and use your fingers or your favorite sponge. I'm wondering if I can use my night oil blend in it if I forget to put it on before bed. I think I need to buy some more!
