Bigger bags mean more responsible gear

First I switched from the smaller Iberia bags. I have 1 day I intend to update more later. These ArcEnCiel Baskets are labeled as Roswell Baskets and they are HUGE. Two 1 gallon pitchers can be placed on the floor. Then there are 2 more jars above it. They are good for grocery shopping or cross-country trips. They are height adjustable, you can pack them like a backpack. But once you get past a certain height, you can no longer attach the clip to the outside of the clip. (Side clip see picture) However, they still close with waterproof Velcro straps. Second, because of the size, some aspects of physics come into play. If you don't load the bag, the bottom edges will start to curl inward a bit, and you need to make sure they don't touch the edges of the needles. However, I added thin fiberboard inserts cut to the bottom to improve rigidity and prevent sagging. It may be an exaggeration, but I'm an engineer. Third, they don't have rack clips, they are saddlebags with three rack straps. 2 rear, 1 front. They have 2 bottom straps on the back of the bags that attach to the rack bar to keep them from falling off when turning left/right. They also appear to be waterproof. The top folds down, fastens with velcro, then folds back and fastens with velcro again, like a waterproof kayak bag. But the fabric looks like thick nylon. I haven't ridden in the rain yet, so I can't say officially. Fourth, they look (and are Roswell labeled) like long-distance touring baskets, and they have plenty of cords for rigging, tightening, and adjustments. You need to make sure there are no extra loose parts stuck in your wheels. They should be present due to the size, but you must fasten all seat belts securely before driving. They don't like being unbalanced and I had to add a strap brace to improve left lean. of which seem to be single seams. I will report it. Seventh, they look military green and my wife said I look so "scout" with them on my bike. So if you are trying to look elegant and sexy, this is not for you. However, if you want to bring home 80 pounds of bacon and a dozen roses, these are your baskets. Overall good value for money. You have to think carefully about the packaging and watch the baskets to make sure they don't bend or touch the spokes, but that's when they're empty/underpacked. These bags appear to be a second generation design as they designed/made the bag, got feedback and then redesigned and made a different bag. I have high hopes for the next one. And as a reminder: With this bag you always have a first aid kit, spare hoses and a pump with you.
