Had to return the first unit as defective. The weight is listed as 400 pounds, I don't weigh nearly that much. The base is die cast from white metal and when I first used it the two levers holding the wheels were twisted (bent) causing the chair to tip over. There were no problems with the return, the replacement was provided immediately and so far (after 1 week) there have been no problems. I would advise the company to switch the base material from die-cast metal to steel. UPDATE 6/25/2020 The replacement stool that was sent to me had the same issue of the base arms not rotating properly. It was so annoying I didn't even try to replace it. I just put it in a corner and didn't use it for about half a year. I took a large pipe wrench and very slowly and carefully twisted the levers into place. It works for about a month. Now the side plates on the casters are bent and the stool cannot be rolled without a sudden stop. I will order new castors with more load capacity and see if they can be used. As it stands, I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
