I've been wearing Rockport loafers for a year or two and before that I wore Clarke loafers. and those Dunham shoes just don't feel that durable. This Dunham upper is much softer - so soft that it doesn't flex well when I try to put my foot in the shoe. My Rockports and Clarkes didn't feel as fragile, and strength is more important to me than shaving a few grams. I've only tried Dunhams to be honest - I'm sending them back so I never get updates over time; I'll stick with shoes that feel more durable.
